impact's 2017 Mum's Day Bags of Love packing day
- a snapshot: Numbers? . More than 276 volunteers! (276 people signed in but we saw some people who didn't get to do that) . 33 of those people were school children each of which has had a Certificate of Appreciation sent to their school . 800 hampers packed! . 54 BIG bags of necessities for refuges to distribute! Thank you EVERYONE - donors, drivers, setter-uppers, volunteers, cleaner-uppers, people who sent messages of support, to Habonim Dror who gave us the use of their hall and to the Eden Gospel Singers who entertained us wonderfully. As has become our tradition, we remembered those women lost to violence so far this year to Lesley Gore's re worked and reworded You Don't Own Me. This year, we were really privileged to hear the song live, performed incredibly sensitively by the Eden Gospel Singers (clips of which can be seen below). |
