WHAT IS A TREE OF LOVE?

A Tree of Love is similar to a Family Tree but it does not have to have just family members on it or even any family members on it.

A Tree of Love is all about the people you love and trust in your life - that might include family, friends, teachers, anyone...
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO MAKE A TREE OF LOVE?
  • Your imagination and some time to let it loose
  • Paper or cardboard
  • Crayons, pencils, pens, textas, paint - whatever you have on hand

WHAT ELSE MIGHT YOU WANT TO USE TO MAKE A TREE OF LOVE?
  • A printer
  • Scissors
  • Sticky tape
  • Glue
  • Blutac
  • Fridge magnets
  • Decorations - real leaves, flowers, beads, stickers, glitter...
  • Downloadables from here
HOW TO MAKE A TREE OF LOVE?
  • In any way you like but here are some suggestions:
  • Draw a tree or use one of the downloadables from here
  • Colour your tree
  • Think about the people who are special in your life. Who do you love and trust? It doesn't matter if you have 1 or 2 or 3 or lots and lots.
  • Put your own name on your tree. You can also draw a picture of yourself or stick on a photo... whatever you'd like to do
  • Put the special people you love and trust on your tree - write their name, draw a picture of them, stick on a photo... whatever you'd like to do
  • Decorate your Tree of Love further in any creative way you like
  • Ask for permission from an adult in your house to display your Tree of Love on your fridge with a fridge magnet, to a window with sticky tape or to a wall with blutac

CAN WE SEE YOUR TREE OF LOVE?
If you are comfortable to do so, AND if your parent is comfortable to do so, we'd love to see and share your Tree of Love - please email them here.
Please make sure your first name* and age is on your creation so that we know who you are.

*please do not include surname
