PURPOSE
impact is committed to protecting your personal information and data. This means we:
  • take great care to ensure your personal information and data is used and stored in accordance with all applicable laws
  • will NEVER utilise or process your data in any way we believe you would not reasonably expect. This means we:
  • will store your personal data securely to use for impact-directed purposes only
  • will NEVER share, sell or give your personal information or data to any third party unless required to do so by Government authorities EXCEPT in situations to which you would reasonable expect us to do so such as ‘introducing’ you to others who form part of your ‘team’ for impactbusiness
  • you may be contacted by an impact volunteers with responsibility for an event or activity but only for the purpose of that event or activity
  • will NOT record your banking or credit card details once the transaction has been processed

YOUR RIGHTS
You have a number of rights relating to your personal information and data including to:
  • know why your personal information and data is collected
  • know how your information is used, by whom and to whom it will be disclosed
  • have access to view your personal information
  • request correction and rectification of your personal information and data
  • ask us to delete some or all of your information
  • make a complaint if you consider your information and data has been mishandled


HOW WE COLLECT YOUR DATA 
impact collects information and data about you directly from you and your family primarily from:
  • application forms [eg. membership application forms and event booking forms]
  • registration at our events
  • emails you have sent us directly
  • social media sites in which you have engaged with us
On occasion, we may add information about you received from another person where we have reasonable confidence that it is relevant and accurate. This typically happens when someone else registers you for an event and we have a reasonable belief that you gave consent for them to do so.


WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?
impact typically collects and stores the following personal data and information:
  • your name and contact details
  • events you have attended
  • donations and bequest commitments you have made to impact
 
From time to time, and only as appropriate, impact may collect the following personal data and information:
  • your date of birth, family members and next of kin details
  • employment details, education details, car registration details, Working with Children Check information
  • medical information including allergies, physical and learning difficulties

impact may use the data we collect about you to contact you by email, letter, phone or via other technological and social media.


WHAT IF YOUR DETAILS CHANGE OR OUR DATA IS INCORRECT?
If any of your relevant personal details or information change, or if you become aware that we have inaccurate personal information and data relating to you, please contact us so that we can correct our records.
 
impact is not responsible for any losses arising from any inaccurate, inauthentic, deficient or incomplete personal information and data that you have provided us.
