  1. what impact is doing to keep you safe
  2. what you can do to minimise risk when coming to volunteer
  3. what to do if you become symptomatic after your shift
  4. what impact will do if we become aware of a volunteer who has become unwell following a shift
  5. impact's COVID-SAFE measures

WHAT IMPACT IS DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE

Because keeping our volunteers safe is our highest priority, we have introduced a range of health and safety measures including:
VOLUNTEER PACKS
  • Upon entry, volunteers will be encouraged to pick up a bottle of water, several disposable gloves and a pencil case which will include several masks, a small bottle of hand sanitiser and a biro for their use. Face shields will also be available if volunteers would like them.
CLEANING PRACTICES
  • A cleaning regime of high-touch surfaces will be undertaken between shifts
SANITISER STATIONS
  • Hand sanitiser stations with extra supplies of disposable gloves will be located throughout the venue and near the toilets.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
  • Your temperature will be taken contact-free and recorded
  • You will be asked to sign the registration sheet using the biro from your Volunteer Pack.
  • This data will be held securely only to be shared with the government for contact tracing should the need arise
  • The document will be destroyed 20 days following your shift
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
  • Only those people registered for a particular shift will be eligible to enter the venue.
  • Everyone must be masked at all times unless they have documented evidence of being exempted. This must be sighted by the Registration 'staff' and noted on the Registration Sheet

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO MINIMISE RISK WHEN COMING TO VOLUNTEER

REMAIN MASKED AT ALL TIMES
  • Unless they have documented evidence of being exempted. This must be sighted by the Registration 'staff' and noted on the Registration Sheet.
PRACTISE APPROPRIATE PHYSICAL DISTANCING
  • We require you to maintain an appropriate physical distance of 1.5 metres from everyone unless you are in your own ‘social bubble’.
DO NOT ATTEND IF
  • You feel unwell or if you display any of the COVID-19 symptoms as identified by the DHHS:
    • Loss or change in sense of smell or taste
    • Fever
    • Chills or sweats
    • Cough
    • Sore throat
    • Shortness of breath
    • Runny nose
  • You feel headachy, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting or have diarrhoea
  • You have been tested and are still waiting for your results
  • You are required to self-isolate
  • You have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past two weeks
  • You have returned from overseas or from a confirmed 'hot spot' as outlined by the Victorian government in the previous 14 days. Please err on the side of caution.
CONSIDER DOWNLOADING THE COVIDSafe APP
  • as per government advice
