impact for women
making a difference to women & children in crisis
What possible
difference will
your donation
make?
A donation as small as $25 will buy:
some security with a new SIM card
Women living in crisis accommodation often need a new SIM card to enable them to receive a new mobile phone number for security reasons.
OR
the opportunity to reconnect with her family with a Telstra phone-away card
Women isolated from their families need to be in contact with their loved ones in their time of crisis. This is an easy and inexpensive you can help out.
OR
the ability to purchase some basic food or hygiene products
A donation of only $50 will:
buy simple, engaging toys and games such as totem-tennis, connect four, etc
Make it easier for these over-tired and over-stressed mums to engage in play with their children to heal and restore their relationships with them.
$100 will:
provide the basic school supplies and clothing a child needs when moving schools
OR
provide money for the purchasing of groceries, metcards and medications
OR
make a significant impact to one woman without a Permanent Residence Visa for one week
as she is not eligible to access CentreLink assistance.
A gift of $100-$500 would:
fund a child to attend a children's or family camp
Family violence often causes damage to the mother-child relationship and often causes the child to disengage from social groups and communities.
Attending camp is a great way to encourage children to re-engage with others.
Family camps offer reparative environments and programs for the mother-child relationship.
OR
service or fix a woman's car
enabling her to attend medical and legal appointments independently.
OR
purchase some urgently needed disability aids such as shower/toilet chairs, portable hoists, TTY phones, self-opening doors, access ramps, etc
A woman's disability, or that of her children, can still be a barrier for that woman accessing crisis accommodation.
Domestic violence is an equal-opportunity destroyer.
